Tideborn Art
The queen of the mermaids of the Gilded isles, she is known as Abyssa.
This is an image of Abyssa I drew myself, it’s my first time I did a bust and I didn’t get to share her when showing off my Tideborn chapters on the site I was on before this. So here she is. I’m still learning to draw so some scenes I ask Ai to illustrate for me, However as I get better and learn I intend to slowly fill in most things with my own art work. I’d absolutely love a chance to make web comics or graphic novels eventually.
This is mostly a concept sketch and likely will change with time. She does have tendrils that glow in her hair and later images I tooled out with Gemini actually inspired me for her description I can’t wait to implement in my own drawings later. Such as hair filled with braids and funk nick nacks and trinkets. The Tideborn love interesting or shiny objects.
The Tideborn world is full of magic and nature weaves its way into it. Feared by humans, they are often avoided, except for sea scar hunters. Humans or other races who specialize in hunting the Tideborn. Interestingly, my mermaids don’t have hypnotizing songs. SO much as empathetic ones, you can feel their meaning or the creature’s emotional or instinctual imprint from their songs.
When they weave together, they can even create a powerful spell. Some capable of Even causing powerful storms and teleporting fogs.
